I find myself continually returning to those revealing aspects of the history of Hong Kong, which lead me to the theme of time, history and fate. I am looking for the unexpected dialogues between the historical and contemporary perspectives of the photographic practices.
Thomas Lin (練錦順) is a Hong Kong-based photographic artist and educator. He began his creative career after acquiring a BA in photography in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His work has been reviewed and exhibited in Hong Kong and cities like Kyoto, London, Pomona, Vancouver, Taipei and Beijing, and acquired for private and public collections including the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. He is teaching on art and photography in tertiary institutions and high schools and constantly working with various art and education NGOs, where he enjoys sharing his technical and conceptual knowledge across a wide range of analogue, alternative and digital processes from a practitioner’s point of view.
